Dog and Dog Owner Statistics

New statistics for 2009 2010 are now available; the APPA American Pet Products Association gathered some good data that helped Dogrrific extrapolating some numbers.
Over 62% of US households own a pet, it shows from 1988 to 2008 a 6% increase, however not that much of an increase when looking at how successful is the pet vector.

21 Sled dogs:
Most recognized breeds are Alaskan, Mackenzie River and Siberian Husky, Malamute, Alusky, Chinook, Euro Hound, Greenland dog, Qimmiq and Samoyed.
Those dogs are densely furred up to 600 hairs per inch.
